Halleluyah! Welcome to the first day of 2023. The first day of the journey where you and I shall have the word, believe the word, meditate on the word, act the word and rule by the word. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that this New Year shall be to you and I our year when we shall live to God’s desires for us as good and godly men, husbands and fathers. Amen.
Let us start 2023 journey from the beginning. This will help you and I to understand what we need to know about the beginning. Just like you and I are starting this New Year, 2023, God also had a beginning.
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth (Gen.1:1).
In the beginning, God created something good. He created the heaven and the earth. God set up the foundation on which man, animals, plants, fishes, stars, moon, rocks, mountains and so much more will live and function. God set the stage for all things to flourish. That is why when God made the man, plants and animals that walk on land, live in water and fly in the air, they did not struggle to find their rightful place. They all flourish where they found themselves.
As the good and godly husbandman, God wants you to start on a good note for your life and the lives of your wife and children. God wants you to lay a solid foundation upon which you and your wife and children can build in this New Year. God wants you to have a plan.
Now, there are six areas that God wants you to create in 2023.
Firstly, God wants you to be healthy, spiritually. That is God wants you to be rich towards Him (Philp.3:10). This means that God wants you to know Him better and deeper. God wants you to have a growing relationship with Him. Secondly, God wants you to be rich mentally (2Tim.2:15). This means, you must pursue and invest in growing your knowledge in your area of pursuit. Thirdly, God wants you to create a physically sound body (1Tim.4:8). This means this year, you must eat the right quantity and quality of food. No more junk and indulgencies. Fourthly, God wants you to create a socially responsible life (Pro.27:17). This means you must build healthy and godly relationships that will help you to grow in good deeds and godly success. Fifthly, God wants you to create a community-like mind set (Matt.5:14-16). This means you must seek to do good not just to your wife and children but to the community where you live. So, ask yourself this question, what can I contribute to my world to make it a better place? Finally, God wants you to create a legacy for yourself, wife, children and the world (Gen.12:3). This means you must begin to make progress towards a life beyond you so that when you are long gone to be with Jesus Christ in heaven, your works will continue to speak positively in the lives of the people.
As the husbandman, you have the mind of Christ. You are created in His image and likeness. God has empowered you to function like Him on earth. Make a decision today to start creating the six (6) foundations and watch how your life will have impacted positively the lives of your wife, children and the market place of life.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for making me the good and godly husbandman.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to create solid foundations for my life and the lives of my wife, children and the world.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, work through me and make me a fruitful man, husband and father.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am grateful to God for making me the husbandman and I receive help from above to create a godly foundation for a successful role as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
