Did you know that God has empowered you with so much authority to reign on earth as the good and godly man, husband and father? Did you also know that God will honour what you say?
In Genesis chapter 1, God infused His authority into you when He said, let us make man in our own image and after our likeness and LET HIM HAVE DOMINION OVER ALL…..(Gen.1:26-28). From the day God made you the husbandman, you have His power working inside of you to exercise authority on earth.
Now, this is how much authority you have in Jesus. Whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matt.16:19). God will honour your decree. If you bind bitterness, hatred, envy, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, covetousness, all forms of ungodliness, uncontrolled appetite and anger in your life, God will honour same. If you release peace, forgiveness, goodwill, mercy, kindness, joy, happiness, compassion on your life and in your relationship with your wife and children, God will also honour same. So, as you lead your life, wife and children, be conscious of the authority you have and exercise it according to the perfect will of God for you as the good and godly man, husband and father.
But for you to exercise this authority, you must be born again. Jesus Christ, in whose name God honours your declarations, says, ye must be born again. This means that you must let go of your sinful life, and accept the free gift of salvation from God through Jesus Christ. So, repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life today.
Secondly, you must take personal responsibility to study the Bible to know what is rightfully yours as the man, husband and father (Jn.5:38-39). The more of God’s word that you have discovered by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, the stronger your position in knowing what should and should not be allowed in your life and in the lives of your wife and children.
Thirdly, you must walk by faith. We walk by faith and not by sight. Regardless of the circumstances, you must believe that God will honour your declarations according to His perfect will, expressly given in His word-The Bible.
God has made you in His image and likeness. Jesus Christ has given you His authority. The word of God has been given to you as a road map for a successful journey as the good and godly man, husband and father. Make your life count positively in God and in the lives of your wife and children.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me of my trespasses and come into my life as my Lord and Saviour.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me the grace to search Your word and seek Your presence.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, honour the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart.
FAITH CONFESSION
I shall declare only the perfect will of God for my life and in my relationship with my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
