TALKING TO YOUR FATHER, ALWAYS!

Bible Texts: 1Thess.5:17, Lk.18:1, Matt.6:6, Jer.33:3, Heb.11:6, Heb.4:12, Eph.6:18, Col.4:2, Mk.9:29, Jas.5:16

I have discovered that praying to God through Jesus Christ is not only to get what we want but it makes our relationship with Him stronger. And if you must remain triumphant and be committed to becoming the good and godly husbandman, you must not only develop an effective communication with God through Jesus Christ but you must keep it open on a daily basis and as a lifestyle.

Jesus speaking in Luke chapter 18 and verse 1, says, men ought to always pray and not faint (Lk.18:1). As the good and godly husbandman, challenges will show up as you lead your life, wife and children. Some of the challenges may come unannounced. There may be hurdles and obstacles that you will encounter as your provide good and godly leadership to your wife, children and in your home. A lot of the times, these challenges could be overwhelming. Other times, you need direction on what to do. Whatever the challenges may be or in any area you need clarity and direction, you can and must always pray.

But how do I pray and get answers to my prayers?

As the husbandman, you must repent of any sinful life you are living and invite Jesus Christ to come and become the owner of your life. This is the start of a relationship with God through Jesus Christ (2Cor.5:17).

You must always pray the will of God for your life and for the lives of your wife, children and home. God wants you to love your wife as Christ has loved the church (Eph.5:25). And how He loved the bride (church) is mentioned in 1^st Corinthians chapter 13 and from verses 4 through to 8. God wants you to train, mentor and guide your children in the way and admonition of the Lord. And He mentioned it in Ephesians chapter 6 and verse 4. God wants your home to be peaceful as it is in heaven. When you know the perfect will of God for you as the husbandman, you will be able to pray His perfect will and that is what God answers.

You must believe that God answers prayers and so when you come to Him through Jesus Christ, you must believe that He will come through for you. God speaking in Jeremiah chapter 33, says, call unto me (God), and I (God) will answer you…..(Jer.33:3). In Hebrews chapter 11 and verse 6, the word of God says, he that must come to God must believe that he is and he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Heb.11:6). And in Hebrews chapter 4, the Scripture says that you should come boldly to the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace in terms of need (Heb.4:12).

Your heavenly Father wants a relationship with you. God wants to make you the good and godly husbandman unto Himself and to your wife and children. God is eager to hear your communication because He is ready to answer you.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to pray without ceasing.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of grace and supplication.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to always pray according to Your perfect will as the man, husband and father.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a man of prayer and I give myself to praying the perfect will for my life and for my wife and children continuously because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
