LESSONS FROM FEEDING 5,000

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Mk.6:30-44, Num.11:1, 1Thess.5:16, 2Thess.2:16, Philp.4:4, Philp.1:6, Eph.4:1-3, Eph.5:1-2, Ps.98:1

Yesterday, by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, we started out with understanding the ministry of the father as the third person of the husbandman. We were supposed to continue today but while in meditation the Holy Spirit instructed that the husbandman needs to learn lessons from the feeding of 5,000 men by Jesus Christ. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ for deeper understanding for you to the end you become the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus Christ had a long and tiresome crusade and the people who had followed Him became hungry because it appeared they had not eaten for a while. They needed food to eat but there were two major challenges to feed them. The first was that it was already late in the day for them to buy food. The second was how much food will be required to feed everyone, including Jesus’s disciples.

The challenges were brought to the attention of Jesus Christ and the two fishes and five loaves of bread Disciple Peter got from one of the lad, who was among the followers. While others seemed to complain about the challenges, Jesus directed that everyone should sit down. He asked for the 5 loaves of bread and two fishes and lifted up in thanksgiving. He gave thanks to God and distributed to the people. Everyone ate enough and there were 12 baskets extra (Mk.6:30-44).

This is the lesson for you as you lead your life, your wife and children. Whatever you don’t appreciate will diminish and whatever you celebrate will appreciate. You may have a lot of inadequacies in your life but be thankful that God will make a way for you to help you. Your wife may have a lot of flaws yet be thankful to God for those good sides of her life. Your children may not have met your expectations in some areas, yet give God thanks for those areas where they have done well. God is displeased when you are not thankful.

And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord and the Lord heard it, and his anger was kindled and the fire of the Lord burnt among them and consumed them……….(Num.11:1)

God wants you to be thankful for who you are and what He wants you to be as the man, husband and father. And gratitude is the pathway to attaining the glorious heights God wants you to attain as the good and godly husbandman. Therefore, Rejoice, again I say rejoice.
