COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE DIFFERENT

Bible Texts: 2Cor.6:17-18, Ps.1:1, 1Jn.5:17, 1Cor.15:33-34, 1Cor.14:40, Rom.6:1, 1Cor.14:20, 1Cor.14:25. 1Cor.16:9, 1Cor.16:13

Until you come out from among them, you cannot be different from them. God wants you and I as husbandmen to be different from the world in thoughts, words, action, conduct and response. God wants you and I to be good and godly(1Cor.15:34).

Therefore, today’s teaching is to reinforce the perfect will of God in this regards, even as I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will yield to the call of God for you to become the good and godly husbandman. Amen and Amen.

Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean things and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughters saith the Lord Almighty (2Cor.6:17-18)

One of the powerful forces that influences the husbandman to either be like Jesus Christ or behave like the world is the association he keeps and what he identifies himself with. The associations either leads the husbandman to do what pleases the Lord Jesus Christ or makes him disobey the instructions of God (Deut.28:1, 1Cor.15:33).

Be not deceived, evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame (1Cor.15:33-34)

But why should you come out from among them and what must come out from?

God wants you to come out from wrong relationships, associations and activities because it does not fit your personality as the good and godly husbandman and as the ambassador of Jesus Christ to your wife, children and in the market place.

The Scripture says,

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful (Ps.1:1)

God wants to be your Father that is why He wants you to come out from among ungodly and unrighteous company. As the husbandman, you need a lot of divine wisdom to lead and when God becomes your Father, He guides you by His word and Spirit to become a successful and influential father.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death (1Jn.5:17)

You must come out from everything that makes you to disobey the instructions of God, regardless of what satan, sin and the world think. Uncontrolled appetite that leads to greed and covetousness, lying, abuse of your body and the bodies of others, stealing, disobeying the laws of the land where you live, adultery, bitterness, unforgivenss, hate, malice, laziness, bad will towards others, and serving other gods are all unrighteousness. And the word God calls it sin.

Awake to righteousness and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame (1Cor.15:34)

God wants you to make a firm decision today to stop those ungodly habits. Make a commitment today to disassociate yourself from bad relationships and associations that take you away from God and His words. God wants to be your Father so that He can empower you with wisdom that will make to function as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for living a life of unrighteousness..
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me boldness and courage to disassociate myself from all forms of ungodliness.
• Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to exercise power and authority over the influences of satan, sin and the world and make me walk in righteousness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I walk in this consciousness in my thought, action, communication, association and relationship because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
