Spread the love

Bible Texts: Ps.1:1-3, Jos.1:6-8, 2Tim.2:15, Pro.4:20, 2Pet.1:5, Jas.1:25, Rev.5:10-12, Eph.5:25, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, 1Cor.13:4-8

Today is Day 2 of 70 days of fasting with prayers, also known as the Force of Change. I believe you are engaging with the force of prayer and fasting. I pray that your encounters this season shall empower, inspire and motivate you for greater walk with God as the good and godly husbandman, in Jesus name. Amen.

A lot of the time as husbandmen, we deceive ourselves in thinking that we can make the most of our headship by chance. No! You and I can never become the good and godly husbandman by luck but being intentional. And this act of intent requires that you and I give attention to owning a personal Bible, reading and studying and practicing what the word of God commands and instructs. Otherwise, you and I will lose our voices, power, influence and authority.

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this BOOK OF INSTRUCTION CONTINUALLY. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do (Jos.1:7-8) NLT

As the good and godly husbandman, you cannot be greater than what you know and you are prepared to apply yourself to. The altar of the word of God and prayers make this possible.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (Jas.1:25)

Everything you need to know about the will of God for your life as the husbandman is contained in the Bible. The Bible is your manual of instruction and direction. It helps you to overcome errors as the man, husband and father and gives you guidance (Eph.5:25, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.3:1-8).

The perfect will of God for you is to become like Jesus Christ in deed and in words in your roles as the man, husband and father. God wants you to flourish as the head of your family. He wants you to prosper as the husbandman. But you have the responsibility to keep learning, keep praying and keeping doing what the word of God commands. This is the gateway to your sustained growth and development as the husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the force of ignorance and foolishness that lead to stagnation.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me the spirit of wisdom and understanding and help me to understand Your instructions and obey them.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with grace to be consistent in doing Your perfect will.

FAITH CONFESSION

I give myself to study, meditating and obeying the instructions of Scriptures by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit because that is the gateway to my growth, development and sustainability as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
