BE SEPARATE, COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Matt.5:40-48, Heb.12:1-3, Gen.17:1-3, Ps.1:1, Jos.25:14-16, 1Cor.13:9-12, Matt.6:9-10, Ezk.2:2, Mk.9:29, Deut.2:3, Acts.10:36, Jn.3:3-7, Acts.1:1, Jn.15:5, Rom.5:5

Let us go further from where we started off yesterday.

Can the husbandman be perfect? Can he become the good and godly husbandman? The word of God says, yes, you can be perfect.

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matt.5:48)

The perfect will of God for you is to grow unto perfection. God wants you to become better each day in your relationship, conduct, utterances, reaction and responses with and to your wife and children and in the marketplace. God wants you to experience improvement in your spiritual, emotional and physical life as you lead yourself, wife and children. So, don’t conclude that there is nothing you can do about your irresponsible life and failings. You can come out from among those unrighteous deeds and influences and become the good and godly light and an ambassador of Christ on earth.

How do I grow and continue to grow unto maturity?

As the husbandman, you must have a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ (Jn.3:3-7, Acts.10:36). Salvation is the first step that you need because it gives you access to the keys of the kingdom that help you to unlock the knowledge from the word of God that will help you grow.

You must also do two things at the same time. Study the word of God with passion and meditate on the word with utmost concentration. Because the word of God is spirit, when it enters into your spirit man, it transforms your inner man and helps you think, talk and relate as Christ would (Ezk.2:2, Ps.1:2-3).

Finally, you pray the word of the Spirit into your life and ask God to empower you to act the word in all areas and at all times (Acts.1:1, Mk.9:29, Matt.6:9-10, Jn.15:5, Gal.4:19)

God spoke to the people of Israel in this wise and He is speaking to you right now,

Ye have compassed this mountain long enough, turn you northward (Deut.2:3)

God doesn’t want you to remain in sin and ungodliness. He doesn’t want you to continue to live an irresponsible life as the man, husband and father. He doesn’t want you to fail in your duties as the husbandman. God wants you to grow up. He wants you to be matured. That is God’s perfect will for you. Cooperate with God through the Person of the Holy Spirit to make you become the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for disobeying Your instructions and refusing to grow up.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me boldness and courage to disassociate myself from all forms of ungodliness.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to exercise power and authority over the influences of satan, sin and the world and make me walk in perfection.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I walk in this consciousness in my thought, action, communication, association and relationship because that is what makes me to grow up as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
