NEVER GIVE UP, KEEP PRESSING ON!

Bible Texts: Philp.3:14-15, Lk.16:15-16, Jer.1:10-12, Matt.6:22, Jn.10:30, Gen.2:15, Eph.5:25, 1Cor.13:4-8, 1Pet.3:7-9, Eph.1:18-19, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Job 14:14

I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ….And I run toward the goal to take the victory of calling of God……..(Philp.3:14-15)

The times we are in are challenging times and as the good and godly husbandman, God does not want you to give up on your assignments as the man, husband and father. Rather, God wants you to press on towards the goal of your high calling as the husbandman.

These two important truths from Scriptures will empower your determination to keep pursuing God’s perfect will for your life as the husbandman.

The first is in Genesis Chapter 2.

God took the man and set him down in the Garden of Eden to work the ground and keep it in order (Gen.2:15) MSG

God is the One who made you the husbandman and you have His nature which is faith, hope and courage. God has not given up on you, you also must never give up on the covenant pursuits of the good and godly man, husband and father.

The second is in John Gospel chapter 10.

My sheep recognize my voice. I know them and they follow me….. No one can steal them out of my hand (Jn.10:30) MSG

God knows you and He has entrusted your home to you. God did not plan for your failure but your success. If there is anything indication of failure that you have noticed, you must recognize that it is satan, sin and the world that are influencing it. You must not allow sin and the world to steal your hope, courage and faith.

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and EVERYMAN PRESSETH UNTO IT (Lk.16:16)

Therefore, you must react against anything or circumstance that is contrary to the perfect will of God for your life as the good and godly husbandman. You walk by faith, live in hope and speak with boldness (1Sam.30:18-20).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower my faith to believe all things and never give up on You and Your word for my life as the man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every root of hopelessness, fear and discouragement in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to pursue tirelessly Your perfect will for my life as the husbandman.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have faith, trust and hope in God and His word and I press towards the mark of the high calling to become a vessel of honour unto God because that is what makes me the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
