MORE OF JESUS AND LESS OF YOU

The perfect will of God for the husbandman is for him to be like Jesus Christ in all aspects. But the journey begins when and if the husbandman acknowledges the Lordship and authority of Jesus Christ in his life. And that is what the Person of the Holy Spirit is reminding you and I as husbandmen today.

The head of Christ is God and the head of the man is Christ and the head of the wife is the husband (1Cor.11:1-6)

The word of God says that God is the Head of Christ and Christ is the Head of man. As the good and godly husbandman, you must acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus over all that you represent. This will help you to be humble in heart and be teachable. This will also help you to receive counsel, admonition and corrections with joy and gladness of heart.

The head of Christ is God and the head of the man is Christ……(1Cor.11:1a)

The same way Jesus Christ does only those things that pleases the Father because He is under the authority of God, is the same way you must subject yourself to Jesus Christ and do what He commands you to do in your life as the man, husband and father. This demands that you must first and very importantly learn to be accountable to Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church and the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, in all things.

God wants you to enjoy your leadership as husbandman. He wants you to lead a good and godly life. But you have a responsibility to learn to submit your own life-will and emotions- to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, bring yourself under the authority of Jesus Christ in your thoughts, will, emotion and action and watch how your life will be influenced by the Spirit of Christ unto goodness and godliness as the man, husband and father.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I surrender my will, emotions, my body to You.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I give You my life, my soul and my thought as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, please let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You.

FAITH CONFESSION

I consciously and willing declare You, Jesus Christ, as the Lord over my life because that is the gateway for me to become the good and godly influence over my wife and children and in the market place as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
