Last week Friday, I attended a Christian Men’s Hangout. It was a great time of fellowship with other good and godly men in the word of God. One of the take-aways from the meeting was that the male-man must be aware of himself that is self awareness.
And this morning I want to reinforce this truth that as the husbandman you must be aware of who you are before you can fulfill what you are called to do and to be.
As the husbandman you must be aware that you have responsibilities and rights. Your self awareness to your covenant responsibilities as provided in the word of God is what empowers you to enjoy your rights as the good and godly man, husband and father.
As the husbandman, you have a much greater responsibilities that cover your position as the man, husband and father. These are your covenant responsibilities. God wants you love your wife as Christ has loved the church and gave Himself to it (Eph.5:25, Jn.10:10, Col.3:19, 1Tim.3:2). God wants you to train, nurture and motivate your children in the way and counsel of godliness and righteousness (Deut.6:6-9, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.3:4). God wants you to protect your wife and children from the assault of satan, sin and the world (Jn.10:29). God wants you to provide for their spiritual, material, emotional, physical and financial needs (1Tim.5:8, Ps.23:1). God wants you to teach them His word and be the example of the word (Matt.5:14-16, 2Tim.2:24). God wants you to build godly inheritance for them (Pro.13:22).
Being aware of who you are in Jesus Christ as the husbandman, empowers you to pursue after the things that make you indeed whom God says you are. And as commit to doing what God commands you to do, you begin to attract from your wife and children your covenant rights that you deserve.
There is so much that God commands you to do as the man, husband and father. You must embrace your identity in Jesus Christ, search those responsibilities that give value to your identity and be committed to doing all that the word of God commands joyfully and faithfully.

SPIRITUAL EXRCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to rediscover my true identity from Your word
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to fulfill my covenant responsibilities as the man, husband and father.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me enjoy the rights of my leadership role as the good and godly husbandman.
FAITH CONFESSION
I know who God says I am and I fulfill all the covenant responsibilities as the man, husband and father because that is what makes me to enjoy the rights of the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
