Yesterday, we discovered from Scriptures that God wants the husbandman to invest in himself if he wants to become the good and godly husbandman. And we found the areas that God wants the husbandman to invest.
But what is the secret to a life of wellness that God wants the husbandman to live?
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it (Ps.34:12-14)
The Scripture in Psalms chapter 34 and verses 12 through 14 above provides us with the secrets that living a life of wellness for the husbandman.
The first secret is that the husbandman must not speak evil of somebody or use his tongue to instigate evil actions either against his wife, his children and any other person (Pro.6:2, Jas.3:5, Pro.18:21). Rather, God wants you to use your words to elevate and build your family, community and nations and not destroy it.
The second is that you must do good unto all people, regardless of their tribe, age, religion, colour, and nationality (Gal.6:10, Lk.6:27-28). God commands you to be kind to all people, even if they cannot return the goodness to you.
The third secret is that you must seek peace (Heb.12:14). God wants you to seek peace and ensure that peace reigns everywhere you find yourself. As the ambassador of Christ, you are a peacemaker and not a crisis maker (2Cor.5:20, Matt.5:14-16).
The fourth secret is that you must depart from evil (Ps.1:1-2). God wants you to make a firm commitment to stay away from evil thoughts, imaginations, communications, and acts. The Bible commands you to flee from all appearances of evil (1Thess.5:22). You must never be associated with what is ungodly and unrighteous, no matter the attraction and benefits.
These are the secrets to living a life of wholeness and wellness as you lead your life, and the lives of your wife and children. Are you ready for a life of wellness? Go ahead and do what God commands in His word.
