Today’s message is to help every husbandman realize that you must add works to your faith in your walk to becoming the good and godly husbandman. Therefore, with the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, we shall be exploring from Scriptures what is required for the husbandman to build himself into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
Let me begin by saying that excuses always make a man lame, while responsibility is a proof of maturity. You will not become the good and godly husbandman by chance or by luck. You become the good and godly man, husband and father by taking responsibilities in doing those things that are in the word of God by faith.
But ye beloved, building up yourself on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Keep yourself in the love of God for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life (Jude 1:20-21)
If you must succeed in your roles as the good and godly man, husband and father, you must take personal responsibility to do these three things.
The first is that you must seek to know from the word of God who you are in Jesus Christ as the husbandman (Gen.1:26-28, 2Cor.5:17).
Secondly, you must be committed and passionate to do all that God commands you to do as the man, husband and father (Ex.28:1, Is.1:18-19).
Thirdly, you must continue to renew your mind with the word of God so that you can be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, your perfect model of the good and godly husbandman (Rom.12:1-2).
But what are the areas I need to develop myself to function maximally as the good and godly husbandman?
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for making excuses for my irresponsible lifestyles.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to take personal responsibility of building my life as the husbandman.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey all Your commandments and pursue with passion and dedication the mandate of the office of the godly husbandman.
FAITH CONFESSION
I make definite commitment today to take personal responsibility to build myself in the fullness of my calling as the husbandman because that is what makes me to function as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.

Now that you have read the devotional, it is very important for you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
