I welcome you to the new month of December 2025. We give praise to God through Jesus Christ, for bringing us to the 1st day of the last month of the year 2025. We give God thanks for His good hand upon our lives, which has resulted in the diverse help we have enjoyed in every aspect of our endeavours. Praise be to Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
As we begin this new month, the word of God is reminding every husbandman to pant after the life of Jesus Christ. That is, he must pursue righteousness, peace and joy of the Holy Ghost, which is the kingdom of God on earth (Matt.6:9-14)
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God (Ps.42:1)
As the husbandman, you must understand that your soul is more valuable to God than anything else. You are a citizen of the kingdom of God on earth. You have an everlasting residence in heaven with Jesus Christ; hence you must pursue righteousness and live your life to please God through Jesus Christ in all things.
Hearken to me, ye that FOLLOW AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS, ye that seek the Lord, look unto the rock whence ye are hewn and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father and unto Sarah that bare you…….(Is.51:1-2).
Abraham was a husband like you and I. One thing that distinguishes him is his righteous walk with God (Gen.18:19). And by redemption, you and I have become the seeds of Abraham (Gal.3:10-13). Your hallmark as the husbandman is holiness and righteousness.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matt.5:6)
It is the Person of the Holy Spirit that empowers you to live a holy and righteous life, but you must thirst after righteousness (Jn.15:5, Philp.2:13).
But how do I thirst for God and pant after what is right?
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, wash me clean from every form of filthiness and unrighteousness.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the spirit of holiness and empower me to walk in that light.
FAITH CONFESSION
I thirst for God and pursue after righteousness in all my pursuits because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Now that you have read the devotional, it is very important for you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
