Let me begin today’s teaching by reminding every husbandman that Jesus Christ is your pattern. He is your model of how to conduct your life as the husbandman.
Every husbandman is a leading light in his home and to his wife and his children. If you and I must make the most of our leadership at home, we must not only set good and godly examples for our wife and children to follow, we must be the example for them see.
In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works, in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned, that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you (Tit.1:7-8)
There is a way God wants you to conduct yourself and relate with your wife and children. There is a way God wants you to lead yourself and your wife and children. There is a way God wants you to live your life because you are His ambassador in your home. You must conscious of the truth (Matt.5:14-16).
What are the examples of the life of Jesus Christ that I must follow and live as the good and godly husbandman?
Jesus Christ is holy. You must be holy.
In doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech……(Tit.1:7b)
God wants you to show a pattern of holiness and purity in all that you do.
I discipline my body and bring it under subjection….(1Cor.9:27)
Jesus Christ put His body under control. God also wants you to do the same. God wants you to have self-control over your appetite for food, your anger, your sexual desires, the exercise of your authority and power at home and in the marketplace, money and other material things. God doesn’t want these things to have you, but He wants you to have power over them.
Let your yea be yea and nay be nay (Matt.5:37)
Jesus Christ is truthful and honest. God also wants you to be a pattern of honesty, saying what you mean and meaning what you say, truthfully at all times and to all people.
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man (Col.4:6)
Jesus Christ’s speech was full of grace and blessings. He did not curse His disciples or insulted them. He blessed them. God wants your speech to be filled with grace and blessings and not cursing and insulting.
God has made you in His image and likeness (Gen.1:26-28). He has given Jesus Christ to you as the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. God wants you to look into His word to learn of Jesus Christ so you lead as the man, husband and father because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for setting a pattern of unrighteous and ungodly works in my life and for my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to set and live a pattern of good works in my life and for my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to continue to set good and godly pattern by Your word as the man, husband and father.
FAITH CONFESSION
I set a pattern of good and godly works from the Word of God for my life and for my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Now that you have read the devotional, it is very important for you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
