FOLLOWING THE STEPS OF JESUS

The walk of the husbandman is a journey. If the husbandman must make it as the good and godly husbandman, he must know the right path to follow, and that path is walking in the steps of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman.

Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Heb.12:1-2)

Looking to and following Jesus Christ in your words and in your actions as the man, husband and father is what makes you the good and godly husbandman (Eph.5:1-2).

But why should I follow and walk in the steps of Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman?

The first reason is because Jesus Christ is perfect and He is love personified.

The husband should love his wife as Christ has loved the church (Eph.5:25)

Secondly, walking in the path of Jesus Christ helps you to relate with and lead your wife and children as Christ would.

Thirdly, Jesus Christ represents the light and life that you need to be useful as husbandman.

I came that ye may have life and have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10)

Following Jesus in truth and in spirit impart His nature in you and empowers you to live and give the abundant life to your wife and children.

Walking in the steps of Jesus Christ and following His examples is what guarantees your growth, development and the manifestation of the character of the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to follow You in all things and walk in Your steps.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey You and all Your instructions, joyfully.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be like You in my thoughts, words, action and conduct.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a new man in Christ Jesus and I follow after Jesus and walk in His steps because I am committed to becoming like the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
