Today’s teaching is to remind you to lean on Jesus so He can build you up as the good and goodly man, husband and father because only He can (Jn.15:1-5).
Except the Lord builds the city, they labour in vain that build it; except the Lord watches over the city the watchmen waketh but in vain (Ps.127:1)
The Scripture says that except God builds and watches over your life as the man, husband and father, you will not attain the fullness of your heritage as the good and godly husbandman. This is why it is wisdom to make Jesus the Lord over all and give Him first place in your life.
But why does Jesus Christ want to build me up?
Because Jesus is interested in the good of your life and home. He wants you to prosper, be respected and honoured as the man, husband and father. Jesus wants you to bear good and godly fruits, but you must invite Him into your life before He can be involved (Jer.33:3, Acts 10:32-36).
How do I position my life so that Jesus can come in and build me?
You must believe that when you invite Him to your life, He will come.
Without faith, it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Heb.11:6)
You must also come to Him with humility and sincerity of heart. Your education is good. Your financial status is also good. Your social status is good, too. But none of these can help you to become the good and godly husbandman after the character and nature of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can. Therefore, come to Jesus Christ to build and watch over your life as you lead your wife, your children, and in the marketplace.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, come and take Your rightful place in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to always trust You and Your word.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, please build me and watch over my life as the man, husband and father and make me a useful vessel.
FAITH CONFESSION
I willingly surrender my life and family to God to build and watch over because I know He will help me to become the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
