Every husbandman who wants to be good and godly must be a living sacrifice to God through Jesus Christ. The husbandman’s life must be holy and acceptable unto God (Rom.12:1-3).
My son, give me thine heart and let thine eyes observe my ways (Pro.23:26)
God says, you should give Him your life by giving me first place in your heart. God is interested in you and wants a quality relationship with you so He can make you into the good and godly man, husband and father that He had planned for you from the foundation of the world.
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things that defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands defileth not a man (Matt.15:18-20)
But why does God want me to give Him first place in my heart?
God wants your heart so He can feed it with graceful seeds that will mold you to produce good and godly fruits as the husbandman (Gal.5:22-25).
God also wants your heart so He can continue to whisper His wisdom to your heart on how to respond to the issues of life (Is.30:30).
God wants your heart so He can clean you up from every form of filthiness (2Cor.7:1).
Your heavenly Father wants the best for you and so giving Him your heart and allowing Him to have His way will be profitable to you.
Therefore, give God first place in your heart by allowing His word to take preeminence over everything so that by His word He will help you to reorder your thoughts, words, actions and conduct, thereby making the good and godly man, husband and father.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for not giving You Your rightful place in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, I give You my heart and invite You to be the Lord of my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be the good and godly example to You and to others.
FAITH CONFESSION
I give my heart to Jesus today so that He can be Lord over my life because I want my thought, will, emotion, conduct and responses to reflect the true nature of the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
