BE STEADFAST, UNMOVEABLE

The spiritual discipline the husbandman must cultivate is to remain steadfast by focusing on what the Word of God says, and not what the challenges confronting him in any area of his life are saying (2Cor.4:18). The Scripture says that if your eyes be single your whole body will be full of light (Matt.6:22). God wants the husbandman to walk by faith in His Word and not by what he sees or feels.

For faith is the substance of hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb.11:1)

The message of the Gospel that empowers the husbandman to be the good and godly man, husband and father, is absolute faith in Jesus and in His works. As the husbandman, God wants you to walk by faith and not by sight.

But how does faith in God and in His Word empower the husbandman to live a victorious life?

Faith in the Word of God empowers you to see good in your wife and your children as Christ sees them (1Cor.13:4-8, Eph.6:4, Eph.5:25, Col.3:19, Deut.6:8-11). Faith gives you hope that your wife and your children can be vessels of honour. Faith strengthens your confidence that you can be the good and godly man, husband and father.

So, walk by faith in God and in His Word, trust Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. He will surely direct your path and lead you to live a life of triumph as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of doubt, fear and discouragement.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to trust Your Word as the absolute truth as I lead.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith and help me to lead my wife and children by faith and not by sight.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am baptized with the spirit of faith, and I walk by faith and not by sight in all that I do, and over the circumstances of life, because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
