Many husbandmen have become cold and uninterested in strengthening their relationship with God, their wife, and their children. And many more have no reason or are not excited to pursue the assignment of becoming the good and godly husbandman anymore. But today’s message is inspired by the Person of the Holy Spirit to encourage the husbandman to continue to allow the love of Christ to be shed abroad in his heart so that he can be like Jesus Christ in all things.
And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us (Rom.5:5)
Until the love of Jesus Christ is planted firmly in your heart, it will be difficult for you to love your wife as Christ has loved the church and nurture your children in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.5:25, Eph.6:4).
As the husbandman, you are made in the image and likeness of God (Gen.1:26-28). This means you have his nature in you, and because of this, you can love as He would through Jesus Christ. This should be your motivation and inspiration. You can love your wife as Christ has loved the Church and gave Himself. As Christ is so are you (1Jn.4:17).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower Your love to be shed abroad in my heart by Your Word and Spirit.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to demonstrate Your love to my wife and children as You would.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain in Your word and help me to obey Your instructions for me as the husbandman
FAITH CONFESSION
The love of Jesus Christ is firmly rooted in my heart, and by the empowerment of the Person of the Holy Ghost, I manifest the fullness of Christ’s love to my wife and children and in the marketplace because God has ordained me to live as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
