TRIUMPH OF YOUR FAITH

Bible Texts: 1Pet.1:7-8, Matt.6:22, Gen.12:2, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:23, Eph.5:25-29, 1Tim.3:4, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Deut.6:7-8, Jer.1:10-12, Dan.1:8

Wherein ye greatly rejoice though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls (1Pet.1:7-9)

As the husbandman, challenges will come. Your walk of faith will be tested. Your faithfulness, commitment and passion to do what the Word of God commands you to do will be tried. So, don’t see the challenges you may be having with your wife, or your children as strange. They are all trial of your faith.

The good news is that overcoming these challenges is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

But how do I engage my faith in God and in His word to overcome the challenges that I am confronted with as the man, husband and father?

You must maintain your focus on the promises, plans and purposes of God for your life as the good and godly husbandman (Matt.6:22). God wants you to look to Him and His word and not the challenges because He is ready to guide you through those temptations and challenges and give you victory.

You must be confessing what the Word of God says and not what your challenges are saying (Rom.4:15-17).

You must continue to engage the weapons of prayer and fasting to remain strong in faith, unmoveable and stable (Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29).

Becoming the good and godly husbandman is a call to higher responsibility, and the proof of your testimony that you are the good and godly husbandman is the trial of your faith and the victory assured. You are more than a conqueror in Christ!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by Your Spirit to see challenges as the trial of my faith.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain steadfast in Your promises and help me to focus on Your vision for my life as the man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me more than a conqueror in all life’s tests.

FAITH CONFESSION

The test of my faith is for a moment and I remain steadfast on the promises of God and I focus my eyes on the glorious destinies that God has prepared for me as the man, husband and father because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
