Bible Texts: Jer.1:10-12, Gen.1:2-3, Rom.5:5, Jn.10:10, Gen.12:1-3, Gal.4:19, Gal.2:13, Lk.18:1, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Ps.23:1, 1Tim.5:8, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:6-8
The Word of God has given every husbandman a picture of who he is and what he has been commanded to do. And until he sees what God is seeing from the pages of Scriptures, he will be limited and unprofitable. So, what can you see from the Word of God?
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying Jeremiah, WHAT SEEST THOU? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen for I will hasten my word to perform it. (Jer.1:11-12) KJV
The Word tells of the encounter Prophet Jeremiah had with God. God asked him what can he see about himself from God’s perspective. To the extent of what he saw was what God made him to be.
As the good and godly husbandman, the Bible has a picture of who you are and how to relate with your wife and your children. If you can see what God has said about you as the husbandman, you will do well as the good and godly man, husband and father.
But how powerful is the picture you see from the Word of God about yourself as the husbandman?
If you can see from the Word of God who you are and what you are called to do, you will lead successfully notwithstanding the challenges. It will give meaning and value to your existence as the husbandman. It will also motivate you to always remain on course in the pursuit of God’s perfect plan for your life. The vision of what you see about your future as the man, husband and father, will empower and inspire you to keep pressing until the picture you see from the Word of God becomes your reality as the good and godly husbandman.
The Word of God is the authentic source of what you can see about yourself as the good and godly husbandman. What you must do and continue to do is to keep searching the Scriptures, keep meditating on it and allowing the picture to be firmly rooted in your heart and mind (Jn.5:39, Rom.12:1-2, Gal.4:19).
Hallelujah!
