FAITH FOR VICTORY

Bible Texts: Ps.Ps.28:7, Heb.11:1, Ps.31:1, 2Cor.4:18, Heb.11:6, Heb.11:33, Joel 3:10, Job 22:29, 2Cor.10:4, Heb.11:6

The message of the Gospel that empowers the husbandman to be the good and godly man, husband and father is absolute faith in Jesus and in His works. And as the husbandman, God wants you to live by faith and not by sight.

While we look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal (2Cor.4:18)

The situations and events around you may be frustrating and discouraging, but they are temporal if only you can see with the eyes of faith in God and in His word (Heb.11:1).

If the husbandman must triumph in his journey unto perfection as the good and godly man, husband and father, then faith is a necessity for him. The actions and inactions you get from your wife or children, the disrespect and disloyal attitude from others, the bitterness, anger, hatred and sometimes physical hurt you receive from others can depress any husbandman. But by faith in God and in His Word, you can be victorious.

Faith in God and in His Word of God empowers you to focus on the positive strength of your wife and your children rather than their imperfections. Faith in God and in His Word empowers you to see that your wife and your children can be vessels of honour; and it strengthens your confidence that you can be the good and godly man, husband and father, regardless of the obstacles and challenges. Praise God!

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit will stir up the spirit of faith in you so you can fulfil God’s glorious plans for your life, making your become the good and godly husbandman. Amen.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of doubt, fear and discouragement.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to trust Your Word as the absolute truth as I lead.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith and help me to lead my wife and children by faith and not by sight.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am baptized with the spirit of faith, and I walk by faith and not by sight in all that I do, and over the circumstances of life, because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION

Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
