As the head of your family and the spiritual leader of your sheep, it is important for you to exercise patience toward your wife and children. Now, what is patience? Patience is strong expectation founded on hope. There are positive attitudes that you expect from the members of your flocks-from being rebellious children to obedient; from being an arrogant wife to a humble and submissive person; from being bitter to loving and forgiving.

Or have you children, who were once a delight to behold veered off the track of good to the track of evil and ungodliness? I have good news for you. It is found in verse 3 of our main text.

There are benefits that God has ordained for you to enjoy as the head of the family. He wants your sheep to hold you in high esteem. God wants you to be a marvel to your wife and children. God wants you to be a mentor to your flock. He wants you to be a good and godly epistle to your sheep.

Leave a CommentI have come to discover that as the head of the family and the shepherd and husband of your flocks, the greatest material investment you can sow into the lives of your flock is the seed of the WORD OF GOD. The word of God is the most powerful seed you can plant into the life- of your wife and children. The word of God is able to bring the positive changes you want to see in your wife and children, and not your money, materials or fame.

Leave a CommentIt pleases God when you watch over your wife and children. So when you connect to Him, He makes help available for you. You also need to seek for godly mentors and fellowship, where your life would be edified. And when you do these, God will honour you.
Leave a CommentSometimes what your wife needs is not the vacation trip or jewelry or even cars or any material gift. She yearns for your touch. She longs for you to hug her as often as you can. She wants your arms around her. She yearns for that physical connection from you. Your touch does magic to her inner person. It soothes her emotions.

And by this ordination, the shepherd is the head, the king and the custodian of the sheep and the sheepfold. If anything goes wrong with the sheep and the sheepfold, God will hold him accountable (Gen.3:8-11)
