What gives you first place in their lives is when they see you do what you say and you embrace them as your friends. The days of “do what I say and not what I do†is over. Your wife and children will respect you and be prepared to go with you all the way when they can see and experience firsthand that you are a doer of the word of God.

And as a steward, God will hold you responsible and accountable for the management and influence of the sheep. So you must work hard to obtain commendation of your master, Jesus Christ, the perfect example of a good and godly husband.

He has laid a way for you from His word-the Bible- how you are expected to relate with your wife and children because His ways are ways of pleasantness.
