Main Scriptures: Gen.1:1-3
More Scriptures: Heb.11:3, 2Cor.7:1, Heb.11:6
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness (Gen.1:1-4) NLT
As the head of the family, you are created in the image and likeness of God. This means that you are ordained to operate like God in your family fold. And let us make man in our image and likeness…… So, whatever God could do, you have been empowered to do. When God saw that the entire creation did not align with the original plan, He spoke the commanded words. He commanded and declared, “Let there be light”. Further down the Scripture, the word of God confirms the outcome. And God saw that the light was good. You must not watch your flock disintegrate. You must not allow your wife and children and your entire sheepfold walk in darkness. Your wife must not continue to behave dishonorably or exhibit characters that are far from being Christ-like. You must not allow your children’s education, their attitude and relationships to deny the reality of the life of Christ. You have given enough excuses why your wife and children are walking the path of ungodliness and unrighteousness. You have watched your wife dishonor and disrespect you for too long. Now is the time for you to act and act very fast.
But for you to experience the reality of your confession and declaration, you must have a quality relationship with God through the Person of Jesus Christ. You cannot live in sin and expect God to give value to your declarations. The word of God warns that he that nameth the name of the Lord must depart from iniquity. You must deal with every form of defilement and sinful nature that affects your inner man – bitterness, envy, unforgiveness, wrath, pride, a haughty spirit and many more (2Cor.7:1, Gal.5:17-21). You must also exercise supernatural faith in God and His ability to confirm what you have declared over your flock (Heb.11:1-3). Therefore, take charge and be in command of your sheepfold.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
· Father, in the Name of Jesus, take away every filthy garment from my life and deliver me from the power of sin.
· Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to bear righteous fruits for my wife and children to eat from.
· Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the Spirit of faith and let it yield great results in the lives of my flock.
FAITH CONFESSION
I recreate and enforce the glorious destinies of my sheep and sheepfold by the word of God in my mouth because that is the proof of my glorious calling as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
