God Has Given You Victory

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Judges.1:1-2

More Scriptures: 2Tim.1:7, Rom.8:37, 1Jn.5:4

After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, which tribe should go first to attack the Canaanites? The Lord answered, Judah, for I have given them victory over the land (Jdgs.1:1-2) NLT

Did you know that as the head of your family, God has given you victory over those challenges you have with your wife and children? Did you know that there is no lost case with God when it comes to the relationship between you and your flock? Before God positioned you as the head in your sheepfold, He put in you His life of dominion. How do I know? The word of God says it. And let us make man (you) in our image and likeness and let him (you) have dominion over all….. (Gen.1:26). Although man fell when he committed sin against God, he was restored to his rightful place of authority and power when Jesus died and rose again. Does your wife disrespect and dishonor you? Does it look as if your children have become rebellious and unruly? Are you constantly struggling to provide for your family? It doesn’t matter what the challenges are and it matters less where they are coming from, God has made you a victor. Therefore, your wife is not a hopeless case. Your children are not either.

But for you to reign over the unending challenges in your family fold, you must be victory conscious. What this means is that you walk with the mentality that you have the answers. Secondly, you must walk in confidence and not in fear. The word of God says, Christ has not given us the spirit of fear but of boldness and a sound mind. Thirdly, you must position yourself rightly in the Word, by the Word and through the Word. And you achieve this by staying focused on the word of God. The Scriptures in Matt.6:22 have this to say. If thy eyes be single, thy whole body will be full of light (revelation). You must not allow the unpleasant circumstances in your family-fold steal your joy and headship. You must stand up to the challenges in faith and by the weapon of the blood of Jesus, and deal with satan and his agents influencing the troubles. You are a victor and not a victim.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of fear and intimidation.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with a greater measure of faith for unending victories.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach my hands how to war a good warfare.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am born to win over the challenges in my family-fold and that shall be my daily experience as a good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
