Stir Up Financial Prosperity

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Deut.8:18

More Scriptures: Mal.3:10, Lk.6:38, Pro.12:24

Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the ones who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scripture says, they share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever (2Cor.9:6-9) NLT

One fundamental area God wants you to prosper in as the head of the family is in your finances. God hates seeing you poor or begging or depending on people for hand-outs to meet your covenant demands in your family fold. How do I know? The book of 3rd John verse 2 says so. I wish above all things that you should prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. God is unhappy seeing the dishonourable position you occupy where it is your wife that pays the rent or owns the house you live in, pays the children’s school fees and meets other financial obligations in the home. In fact, God is displeased that you have to be dependent on your parents for financial assistance.

However, much as God does not take pleasure in your financial limitation, He demands that you activate the covenant of financial prosperity. As the husband, it is very important to work hard and smart because it is through your works that God blesses you. But there is a place called the covenant of financial prosperity. It is the covenant of giving your financial resources to God and for the advancement of His kingdom on earth and humanity. There is something to give, irrespective of the size. A lot of the times, what you give in times of your scarceness is a sacrifice. But when you learn to give generously, you commit God to bless you financially. The word of God tells us that there is he that gathereth yet tendeth to poverty but there is he that scattereth yet increaseth. The subject of financial wealth in God’s kingdom is a mystery. You cannot help God by borrowing to attain financial wealth. All you need to do is to give and keep giving. That is the way to be empowered by God to get wealth.
