Any husband reading this devotional today should be excited because something good is about to happen. I want you to please place your finger on this for a moment- I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO GIVE ME CREDIT BEYOND WHAT THEY CAN SEE IN MY LIFE OR HEAR IN MY MESSAGE. If you have done that, kindly answer these questions. Do you seek credit from your flock beyond what they can see in your life and in your conduct? Do you present to your flock what is not yours as though you worked for them? Do you demand your wife and children to celebrate and honour you when your life speaks otherwise? Do you boast that you are responsible for the payment of the school fees of your children when actually it is your wife or parents who are paying? Do you take credit for the house you live in when it is your wife or parents who are in charge? These and many more questions you must answer so that you don’t live a life of lies and self deceit.
As the head of the family, your wife and children will not celebrate you beyond what they can see your life produce. You don’t expect your children to celebrate you as their mentor when it is their mother who has nurtured them in the way and admonition of the Lord. I want you to know this truth. No matter how much you try to cover up your irresponsibility, it will be exposed sooner or later. It is just a matter of time. So, as the priest over your flock, you must continue to work hard to elevate your status by the results you produce. You must be able to share your testimonies boldly to everyone. You must be prepared to dig deeper, give bigger and work harder. However, one satanic offer that you must resist is pride. No proud husband has a future, no matter how anointed he may be. It blinds you to the truth and makes you live a distorted life. Therefore, be humble and God will make you a leading light to your wife and children.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
· Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the grace to give of my money.
· Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to lay down my finances at Your feet.
· Father, in the name of Jesus, reward my financial giving speedily.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am blessed in my finances and reflect the glory and prosperity of God in my family-fold and the world because that is the will of God for me as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
