Manners Make The Husband

If you are asked how you could define a good and godly husband, what attributes would you use? And can you separate the head of the family from his manners or better still, his attitude? These questions are very important for you and I to answer if we must be profitable husbands to our wives. It is even more relevant in the times we are in, when husbands have begun to lose their true identity

The Door Of Your Lips

Are you aware that your lips have a door the same way there is a door to the sheepfold? Well, the word of God in Ps.141 tells you and I so. A lot of the times your wife and children would make you angry by their conduct and bad attitude. Sometimes, they disrespect you, become disloyal or outrightly rebel against you. It is a daily conflict that every shepherd would contend with as he leads his sheep. So, if you do not guard your lips, you may utter words that will destroy the foundation of your wife and children.

And Jesus Stood Still

Do you know that as a good and godly husband, one of the baptisms of Jesus Christ you receive is the baptism of compassion? Jesus Christ was full of compassion and mercy towards all that He came in contact with. He worked hard to be a better shepherd to His sheep. And this inspired Him to go about doing good and delivering all that were oppressed of the devil. He met two blind men and He asked them what do you want me to do for you? They responded, “we want to see”. He was moved with compassion at their pain and discomfort and He restored their sight. This is the attitude God wants you to have towards your wife and children.

All Things Are Possible

It is possible for your wife who may have abandoned her duties as woman, wife and mother to be restored. It is possible for the health of your wife and children to be recovered. It is possible for your wayward son or daughter to be reconciled with you. It is possible for peace to return to your sheepfold. It is possible for you to love your wife again. It is possible for you to get back your job that you lost.

The Power Of The 51st Psalm

God doesn’t want you to justify why you cheated on your wife. He also doesn’t want you to give reasons why you fall into sin. God wants you to be honest with Him. He wants you to walk to Him the same way a child will walk back to his or her earthly father, when they are wrong. Jesus loves you so much and He wants you to be useful and profitable to your wife, children and the world. He doesn’t hate you but He dislikes your sins. Return today; and I say return to Him today.
