The Pathway To A Prosperous Life

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Ps.45:3-4

More Scriptures: Matt.5:16, Mal.3:10, 2Cor.9:6-11

Let me begin by assuring you that God has planned for your prosperity long before He made you the head of your family. Before you became the godly man, husband and father, God has made provision for your abundance. God hates your poverty. He is unhappy when you are unable to perform your covenant responsibility to your wife and children and the world around you. So, if you are living a borrowed life or struggling to meet your financial, emotional, material, mental and physical obligations, God is not excited. Now consider these words from the Bible about the truth that God wants you to be blessed and to be a blessing. Thou art fairer than the children of men, grace is poured into thy lips, THEREFORE GOD HATH BLESSED THEE FOREVER (Ps.45:2). As a good and godly shepherd, God has a prosperity programme for you that will last beyond your life. You must also understand that the prosperity plan that God has for you includes your finances, health, fruitfulness of your body and the works of your hands, mental, longevity, peace, joy, strength and agility, hope and faith.

But there are three important virtues you must diligently work to have and maintain. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of TRUTH and MEEKNESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS…… (Ps.45:4a). From the Scripture, you can deduce three spiritual demands. The first is truthfulness. You must be truthful with your tithe and offerings. You must be truthful with your dealings in your office and with your business partners. You must not take advantage of the corrupt system to enrich yourself either by changing contract figures or altering documents. You must speak the truth to all men, in all circumstances and at all times. The second character you must seek if you want to enjoy the God kind of prosperity as the godly shepherd is meekness. As a matter of fact, if you are not humble in your heart before God, you cannot enjoy the grace of God that makes you have all things (2 Cor.9:8). Humility helps you to receive instructions and wisdom from God that will help you to manage your business, finances, health, relationships, career and much more. The third is for you to live a holy and righteous life. You must learn to do what is right even when it is not convenient. You must be a promise keeper and be faithful to your wife, children, employer, employee, and God. You must let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify God in heaven… (Matt.5:14-16).

So as the good and godly shepherd, you must keep these three virtues before you. You must deliberately pray to the Holy Spirit to impart you with these attributes. Meekness, truth and righteousness are spirit-imparted. The Holy Ghost is the spirit of meekness, truth and righteousness. And you can be imparted with them when you ask for them in prayers.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have received the spirits of meekness, truth and righteousness from the Holy Ghost, because I want to live and impact my sheep and world positively as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
