YOU ARE HER SOURCE

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is the man and the head of Christ is God (1Cor.11:3)

I want to challenge every husband reading this devotional today to take their rightful place in their sheepfold. This is because you are the foundation upon which your wife is built and you are her source. Furthermore, because you are her source, no negative circumstance, attack, deceitfulness of life can snatch her away from you. This is so important in this day and time that we are in when husbands are losing grip of their sheepfold and losing the battles to untimely death, divorce and unduly long separation. We are in the days when husbands no longer have spiritual command and authority over negative occurrences in the lives of their sheep and sheepfold. The husbandman who has been given the power by God to reign and rule on earth have become helpless and watch their wives walk out of their lives, children and home. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that whatever you have lost in your wife shall be recovered in Jesus name. Amen.

Now, how did you become the source of your wife or how did you become the very foundation of her life? First, she was made for you. For it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a helpmeet suitable for him (Gen.2:18). Secondly, she was made from you. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman………. (Gen.2:21-22b). Thirdly, she was brought to you by the favour of God because the Scripture tells us that he that finds a wife has located something good and has also obtained favour from God (Pro.18:22). Consequently, your wife is from God. And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto man. (Gen.2:22) Fourthly, you renamed her. She now bears your name. And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man (Gen.2:23).

With these truths, would you allow your wife to be snatched by satan, the world and sin? I know you will not because having come out from you, God will hold you accountable for her life (Eph.5:25-27). So, what must you do to secure her and keep her in your sheepfold? Continue to be on the watchtower of prayer and intercession for her (Lk.18:1). As a watchman over her life, you must never sleep on your prayer altar or be lacking in discernment. You must daily depend on the Person of the Holy Spirit to show you things about your wife that He wants you to pray about and to save her from(Jn.14:26). You have a glorious heritage with your wife. Stay with her.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to know my wife so that I can serve her profitably.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of prayer and intercession.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from spiritual blindness and deafness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am the source of my wife and I keep her safe and sound in love and beauty because that is what positions me gloriously as the good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
