THE TREES SHALL BLOSOM AGAIN

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Hab.3:17-19

More Scriptures: Jn.14:6, Jn.4:14, Matt.5:16

Do you know that God has given you a wife and children as seeds so that you can work on them and make them produce profitable fruits? But until you invest your time, convenience and energies in them, they will not yield the profits that you desire. And this means that you must diligently and truthfully press on to activate these dormant seeds in their lives so that they can hit their desired target whether in their academics, business, marriage or career. As the head of the family, you must understand that there is a prize that God has set before your flock and it will require your direction, influence and guidance for your sheep to see the light of the day. The Bible tells us something striking in this direction. Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husband said I am the way, the truth and the life (Jn.14:6). And the Scripture also says that if anyone that drinks from me shall never thirst (Jn.4:14). Your wife needs you to help her discover her purpose in life. God has designed her to be your help meet. But you must help her to see the area where you would need her help so that she can fulfill her help ministry in your life. God has ordained your children to be signs and wonders on earth so you have to help them see that truth. So, it doesn’t matter how much your sheep have failed you despite all your efforts to make them good and godly. You must press on until they become all that God has created them to be.

But how do I press on? The first step is for you to have and cultivate hope in God and in your sheep. What hopes does for you is to give a positive picture of the future about your sheep. And that is the balance you need to have for your faith to produce fruits. The second step is for you to work on your mindset about them so that your confession agrees with the word of God and the thoughts in your heart. For with the heart man believeth and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom.10:10). So, you must believe in your heart and mind, confess it with your mouth and act it. The third is for you to intensify your intercessory prayer ministry for them until Christ is formed in them (Gal.4:19). You must set aside days of the week when you intercede for their today and tomorrow. This also means that you continually hold forth for their spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, marital and financial destinies. You also press on by guiding them just as a shepherd will guide his sheep rather than leave them to strangers.

God has not given up on you, so don’t give up on your sheep. They can be useful to you and you can enjoy them as the good and godly shepherd.
