Main Scriptures: Acts 7:21-22
More Scriptures: Pro.3:20, Pro.20:15, Is.33:6
And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up and nourished him for her own son. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and in deeds. (Acts 7:21-22).
Do you want to be mighty in words as the man, husband and father? Do you want to be mighty in deeds? Do you want to do great and mighty works as the good shepherd? Do you want your wife and children and even the world to see you as the shepherd who is mighty? Do you want to be a leader who is graceful in words towards your wife and children? I know that you desire to be mighty in words and in deeds. I know that you want your wife and children to speak proudly of you everywhere they go. I know you desire and expect honour, respect and dignity. But you must do what a fellow husband like you did. His name is Moses. Moses learned all the wisdom of the people and through it did many mighty works. He studied the people and the environment. The lesson is here is that your wife and children are subjects to be studied. That is, understanding their temperaments. You can study your wife. You can also study your children. You can read all about the will, plan and purpose of God for your wife and children in the Bible. There are other anointed literatures and audio materials that would reveal what you need to know about your sheep. Moses learned all there was about the Egyptians and he prospered as a leader in Egypt. You can also do the same as a leader. You have to make efforts to learn about your wife and children. That is what increases your confidence level. It also empowers you to handle your flock with the wisdom of God. For instance, you cannot deal with your wife according to knowledge if you do not understand her (1Pet.3:7). You cannot nurture your children in the admonition and way of the Lord until you know who your child is and what the Bible says (Eph.6:4). In 2Tim.2:15, the Scripture says, study to show thyself approved unto God as a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Jesus speaking said, and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. If you want to enjoy freedom and peace with your wife and children, you must step up your knowledge game about them. The more you know them the better you are as the godly man, husband and father. You must desire to know your wife and children and keep discovering new and exciting opportunities about them. You cannot be greater than what you know. You cannot be better on a subject more than the knowledge you have. Keep learning and keep doing what you learn about them from the Word of God.
