HIS MERCIES ARE SUFFICIENT

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Ps.67:1

More Scriptures: 1Pet.3:7, 1Cor.7:3, Ps.89:1

Prophetically,

“There is a husband who is reading this devotional and has reached a crossroad in his life. Daily, the devil keeps reminding you that your present predicament is as a result of what you did or did not do in the past. You have been haunted day and night by guilt. You seem not enjoy life and have not seen reason to live. So many options are staring you in the face. You do not seem to have the zeal to pursue God’s plan for your life. The Spirit of the Lord is saying to you this hour, there is a sound of abundance of mercy coming. Just hold on to the anchor of Jesus Christ.”

I pray in the name of Jesus that this prophecy shall be fulfilled in your life and sheep speedily. Amen. Let me begin by saying that it is not unnatural to fail or falter as the shepherd. But what is unacceptable is to live in sin as a lifestyle and take the grace of God for granted. What is also more important is that God knew before you became the head of the family that you are not perfect. That you are capable of making mistakes here and there. The joy however is that He has made abundant provision of mercy to cover your multitude of sins. So, if you made a mistake in the past and the devil is holding you bound by it, you can run to the mercy throne of God for justification.

As the head of your family, there could be mistakes that you may have made in the past, may be when you were a young adult or even when you were in school. It could be that you were disobedient to parental or godly instructions and it appears that things are not working as planned and you have this knowing in your spirit man that you are paying for the errors of your yesterday. I have good news for you. It is in the word of God. It is not in suicide. It is not in the drinking bar. It is not in the lap of another woman. It is not in drunkenness. This is the good news. God be merciful unto us and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us (Ps.67:1). God’s mercy is available for you. He is ever ready to forgive you if only you would come to Him and accept His free gift of mercy. Do not make your wife go through the torment and insults of a strange woman. Don’t allow your children to grow up without godly values and direction because their father has committed suicide or has found solace elsewhere. I have made mistakes. Yes, terrible mistakes. Satan tries to remind me that I am not worthy to be a child of God. But over the years, I have come to understand that God is my Father. He loves me with an everlasting love and He is committed to helping me become a better man, husband and father. He is available for you. Covet His mercy and be blessed.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, save me from the power of guilt and condemnation.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the force of satanic options driving me to do evil.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to access the fullness of Your grace for a blessed life.

FAITH CONFESSION

I safely dwell in the mercies of God and by it I live a blessed life because that is the will of God for me as the good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
