Bible Texts: Is.60:3, Pro.15:13, Pro.12:25, 1Thess.5:24, Pro.17:22, 1Thess.5:16, Lk.4:18, Is.60:3, Pro.12:25, 1Thess.4:9,
Today, we shall be focusing on an important aspect of the husbandman and how that aspect affects his whole life; hence we shall consider three Scriptures. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that your eyes of understanding shall be opened and the life in the Word shall gain access into your life for a turnaround. Amen.
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken (Pro.15:13)
A merry heart doeth good like medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop, but a good word maketh it glad (Pro.12:25)
I have observed that one vital area of the life of the husbandman that the devil attacks, is his spirit man. And he does this by making the husbandman feel defeated and hopeless which leads to depression and heart failure. But what is the way out? It is joy and rejoicing.
As the good and godly husbandman, you must be joyful and keep rejoicing in the Lord and His promises. You must not lose faith and hope in God regardless of the unpleasant circumstance you may be in right now.
Now what are the dangers of a broken spirit, which you must resist?
When your spirit man is broken, it leads to heaviness of heart which opens you to all kinds of diseases (Is.61:3). When you spirit man is broken, it destroys your physical and mental state and negatively affects how you relate with your wife and children; a case of transfer aggression. When your spirit man is broken, it makes you an easy prey in the hands of the devil to molest and defeat.
As the husbandman, your wife and your children need your presence. And God has promised you long life. But you have the responsibility to rejoice in the Lord always and engage with the Spirit of God to continue to fill your heart with the joy of the Lord so you can be healthy spirt, soul and body.
Say this in faith “the joy of the Lord is my strength. I will rejoice in the Lord. He is faithful”.
Hallelujah!
