CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS (2)

Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. And having in readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2Cor.10:5-6).

From the Scripture above, it is clear that the best way to cast down imaginations that try to exalt itself against the knowledge of God in your life is bring it to captivity. This means that you bind it the same way a criminal is bound when he is caught. But with what do I bind the wrong imaginations? Firstly, you use the word of God. You must feed your heart and mind with the word of God so much so that it would choke every ungodly thought. A man of God said that what you feed grows and what you starve dies. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee (Ps.119:11). Another weapon you use to bind ungodly imaginations is the precious blood of Jesus Christ. In Rev.12:10-11, the word of God says, and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives unto death. Those wrong and ungodly imaginations are seeds sold by satan, your enemy. What he wants to achieve is to accuse you. But as you engage the weapon of the blood of Jesus, you gain the power to bind and bring into the captivity his imaginations. God wants to make you reign as a good and godly husband in life, beginning with your family fold. Satan will attack your position but thank God, Jesus Christ has made you more than a conqueror.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin and death.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me victory over the force of ungodly imaginations.

FAITH CONFESSION

I bring to captivity every ungodly imagination so that I will reign in life because that is what validates my position as a good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
