FROM THE BEGINNING (1)

And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall become one flesh (Gen.2:23-24).

I have discovered that the best way to appreciate if anything has gone out of course is to understand how it was when it was first made. This will help you to know how much you need to do to sustain the original plan or how much you need to do to correct whatever may have gone wrong. This is so important for you as the head of your family and the spiritual leader and shepherd over your flock. As the one who is in charge of your family fold, you must have a good knowledge of God’s original intention for marriage and why He made you the head. So that, if by any means you observe that your family fold is going out of order or you are not seeing what God intended, then you can begin to war to recover, restore and enforce His perfect will.

Now, this is very important for every husband who strives to be a good and godly husband. Nowadays, most husbands no longer hold the family fold in high esteem. They take lightly the importance God places on the marriage covenant. They also take the premium God has placed on the husbandman in the family fold for granted. They don’t care if their wives leave them or not. They don’t take advantage of their position as the head of their sheep fold to make changes in the lives of their sheep and influence humanity for good and for God. They no longer command authority and influence anymore within and outside of the home front. So when we see these inabilities and weaknesses at work in the lives of husbands, then it is wise for us to go back to the beginning.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me Your ways and empower me to walk therein, faithfully.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the deceitfulness of life and philosophies of men.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, uphold me with Your right hand of righteousness and help me to take the right decisions.

FAITH CONFESSION

I hold onto the landmarks of God, the Head of the husbandman because that is my security to becoming a good and godly husband in to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
