In the last few days, the Person of the Holy Spirit, started to expound to every husband the need to exercise affluence and influence on the earth, beginning with his family. The Holy Spirit also reveals the secret to reigning as a king and priest. Today, by the grace of God we shall be concluding. And today being October 1, I want to wish Nigeria and Nigerians, a happy sixtieth anniversary of nationhood.
Now, for you to become all that God desires for you as a good and godly king and priest, you must fight for your position, not physically but spiritually, that is on your knees. In Micah 6:1, the Bible says, arise and contend before the mountains, let the hills hear thy voice. There are great doors of influence and affluence that God has opened for you but there are many adversaries. You must understand that your call into the position of the headship of your family kingdom is a call to fight. Satan will keep contesting your headship just the same way he did with the first husband, Adam in Genesis 3:1-10. He has not changed his intentions. This is why the Scripture admonishes you and I to resist the devil steadfastly (Jas.4:7). According to the word of God, when we ask, we will receive (Matt.7:7). And when we wrestle in prayers, we overcome (2Cor.10:4-5). And when you don’t ask you will not receive (Jas.4:3).
Thirdly, you must walk in faith and not in fear. Faith is the force that you need to obtain the full manifestation of your kingship and priesthood in your family kingdom and everywhere you find yourself. Faith in God, who is able to do what He has promised to do, is the key that unlocks answers to your petition. In Heb.11:2, the Scripture says that by FAITH, the elders obtained a good report. You must believe, notwithstanding the obvious unfavourable circumstance or situation, that God answers prayers and He rewards everyone that diligently seeks Him. And as you engage yourself ruthlessly in these spiritual demands, your wife and children and the world will appreciate you as the head indeed. Your wife will call you lord, and your children will sing your praises to the high heavens. The world will come to the brightness of your shinning and they will acknowledge that you are indeed the seed that the Lord has blessed (Is.61:9).
Therefore, you must come to agree with God that He did not make a mistake when He made you the head of your family. He knew that you can pilot the ship of your family kingdom because you carry inside of you His nature. Run with this truth because that is what makes you a good and godly husbandman.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, by Your Spirit, endue me with power to reign as a king and a priest in my sheepfold.
- Father, by the blood of Jesus, destroy every spiritual blindness, hindering me from seeing myself as a king and priest.
- Father, by Your Spirit, baptize me with a higher dimension of grace and faith and make me reign as a king and priest.
FAITH CONFESSION
I walk in faith and in the truth of God’s word that I am a king and a priest because that is my true nature as the good and godly husbandman to my wife, children and the world in Jesus name. Amen.
