THERE IS FIRE IN HER BOSOM (1)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Pro.5:5:3-9

More Scriptures: Pro.2:16, Pro.7:7, Ps.45:7

While I was about to conclude the devotional for yesterday, I was led by the Spirit of God to teach from one of my books, titled, “There is Fire in Her Bosom”. I may not understand why God wants me to teach on this subject as we inch closer to the end of the month of June, 2021. Nevertheless, my prayer is that you will receive power from God to break loose from the power of the strange woman in Jesus name. Amen.

One of the forces of hell contending for the souls of husbandmen is the force of adultery. This includes either committing the actual act or lusting after another woman in the heart. This enemy has become so forceful and has dominated many husbandmen, leading even the very strong to fall. However, it is very important to explain some very important words. Firstly, it is “strange” and secondly “woman”. The word strange means something abnormal. The word woman means the female gender. When as the husbandman you get entangled with the strange woman, you are involved in abnormal relationship. God hates it. Your wife and children hate it. The Scripture describes the strange woman as an adulterous woman (Pro.2:16, Pro.5:3).

But why did the Bible call her the strange woman? This is why. And beheld among the simple(foolish) ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding (Pro.7:7). When you embrace the bosom of the strange woman, she makes you lose understanding. You become so foolish that you cannot discern right from wrong. She is also called the strange woman because she flatters you with sweet words so that she could entrap your glorious destiny and bring you to shame and disgrace. To deliver thee (husband) from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words (Pro.2:16). The strange woman tells you what you want to hear, sucks your finances, and leads you to do the things you never could have ordinarily done. But thank God, there is a way of escape for every husbandman who finds himself in this satanic trap. The first practical step you must take is to declare war on this enemy called adultery or the lust of the flesh. You must hate it as much as God hates it. In Psalms, the Scriptures say that thou lovest righteousness and hateth evil (Ps.45:7)…. You must hate the sin with a holy hatred. And like my father in the faith, Bishop David Oyedepo, once said, it is what you permit that is allowed to remain.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of the strange woman.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, saturate my spirit with the spirit of holiness and boldness.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to love righteousness and hate evil.

FAITH CONFESSION

By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I break away from the power of lust and adultery because I am called by God to become the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
