The ultimate plan of God for you is to be the good and godly husbandman. God wants you to be the godly man, husband and father because that is the most profitable life for you and for your wife and children. God wants you to be like Him in all things and for all things. So, anything that wants to corrupt your life is an enemy. You must contend for your godly life. And if you want to be useful to your wife, children and the world, you must decide to live a godly life. Godliness is what invites the power, person and presence of God into your home and that is what will dispel every spirit of disobedience from having a field day in the lives of your wife and children. It is through a godly life that you can gain access into the wisdom of God that will make you reign in your family kingdom.
Do you know God wants you to become the godly husbandman? The word of God gives us the answer. And God said, let us make man in our own image and after our likeness…. (Gen.1:26). God made you in His image and likeness. God is a Holy God and there is no unrighteousness in Him. You have the gene of godliness in you. You have the capabilities to live a godly life.
But how do you become the good and godly husbandman? The first step is for you have a new birth experience. What does this mean? It means to acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you have sinned against God. Thereafter, you repent of them and invite Jesus Christ into your life by accepting Him as your Lord and personal saviour. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the surest foundation that sets you on the path of glory, honour and dignity as the good and godly husbandman. As long as the first husbandman maintained a relationship with God, he did not lose his godly nature. Secondly, you must live a sanctified life. This means that you must separate yourself from every form of ungodliness. Your utterances, relationship, conduct, and thoughts must reflect grace, purity and righteousness. Thirdly, you must study your Bible to know the expectations of God for you as the godly husbandman.
Do not agree with the lie of the devil and the world that you cannot live a godly life. Do not accept to live a life that does not please God. Do not make your life cast doubt in the minds of your wife and children about who God really is. This is what the word of God says. Be ye holy for I am holy (1Pet.1:16). God says that you should be holy because He is holy. God cannot ask you to become who He has not empowered you to be. So, see yourself in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, walk in holiness and be holy because you can.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every wrong foundation that I have laid by error that is affecting my life negatively.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every satanic root that is making me not to live a godly life as the godly husbandman to my wife, children and relations.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirit of holiness
FAITH CONFESSION
I am made in the image and likeness of God, and I am made the righteousness God in Christ Jesus, hence I live a holy life because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
