AUTHOURITY OVER

Our opening passage today in Luke chapter 10 and verse 19 tells us that Jesus Christ has given you authourity and power over all (Lk.10:19). This means that you have power with God. So, you are not just a natural husbandman, you are powerful and full of power (Gen.1:26-28).

But why have you been empowered by Jesus Christ with His authourity? When God called you to lead your wife and children, he knew that there will be mountains to overcome, obstacles to upturn and enemies to triumph over. So, He built in you the spirit to triumph. You can overcome every challenge you may be going through today in the administration of your family kingdom as the head of the family, be it rebellion from your sheep, lack of peace and harmony in your home, health challenge, financial struggle, bitterness and hatred, unforgiving spirit, barrenness, and many more. The power man had in Genesis chapter 1 which he lost in chapter 3 of Genesis has been restored by Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman in Lk.10:19.

I want to share my personal testimony to encourage you to exercise your authourity as the godly husbandman in charge of the affairs of your wife and children and sheepfold. A couple of years ago, my first child came back from school someday with bumps all over her body. I thought it was a normal thing that may go with time. Unfortunately, as the day went by, her condition grew worse. My wife and I took her to the hospital but she could not be treated because the hospital didn’t have the drugs. We were recommended to visit the pharmacy to buy the drugs. As my wife and I went from one pharmacy to another, we couldn’t get the drugs. As I got to the last pharmacy store and did get it, I got angry in my spirit and went home ready to meet with my healer, Jesus Christ. Just as I went to bed, I had an encounter with God. He told me to lay her tithe booklet on her and read out Malachi 3:10. As I woke up from that divine visitation, I knew I had contacted power with God. I knew I had authourity to dislodge the strange affliction. My wife and I did as commanded by God and instantly, my girl that had grown twice her size as a result of the affliction deflated instantaneously. The mother got her dressed for school same day and she resumed after being absence from class for sometime. To God alone be all the glory.

As the head of the family, God has given you power to provide security, succor, anchor and protection for your wife and children. Your headship does not only make you a provider, it also makes you a carrier of healing virtues. In Luke 10:19, the Scriptures say I have given YOU AUTHORITY over all the power of the enemies. You have authority over that sickness that is troubling your wife and children. You can stop that harassment of enemy against your sheep. You must walk in this reality and stop watching your wife and children suffer. Go on the attack. God has given all authority. Don’t fail God. Act like the husbandman with authourity and power.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to exercise my authority over every attacker against my wife and children
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of fear
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, restore the dignity of my position as the head of my family

FAITH CONFESSION

I have been empowered by Jesus Christ to exercise authourity over satan, sin and the world working against my wife, children and sheepfold and I exercise that power because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
