BREAK THE SILENCE!

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Hebrews 13:16

More Scriptures: 1Pt.3:7, Matt.5:45, Eph.4:29

Praise God! At last, God has brought us to the last day of the year 2021. To God alone we give all the glory. I pray that the year 2022 shall to you, your year of breaking forth in all areas of your life in Jesus name. Amen.

But what additional wisdom key do you need as the godly husbandman? It is the wisdom key of communication. I have discovered that keeping the communication lines open with God and your wife and children is an important success factor for your position as the good and godly husbandman and spiritual leader of your family. It is one of the ways you keep the enemy away from your home. One of the major factors responsible for the heat and pressure that the husbandmen experience in their relationship with their wives and children is lack of communication. Yes, it is true that your wife and children have misbehaved and you may have kept malice with them. But the Holy Spirit is saying to you this day, “break the silence and open the line of communication with your wife and children”.

How do I break the silence? You break the silence by talking to them. Perhaps, you are not on speaking terms with your wife and children. This is the time for you to talk with them words that will edify them. You also break the silence by forgiving them. In Matt.6, Jesus Christ gave a pattern of sowing and reaping when He said, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us (Matt.6:12). No matter the trespasses your wife and children may have committed against you, your perfect example, Jesus Christ says, forgive them. Sometimes your wife and children may be afraid to talk to you for fear of being insulted by you. Take the initiative. Call and tell them in love I have forgiven you”.

But why must I break the silence with my wife and children? Firstly, it leads to answered prayers for you (1Pt.3:7). Secondly, it shows that you have the nature of Christ in you (Matt.5:45). Remember that you are a father figure to your wife and children. Your lifestyle should reflect the fatherhood nature of God. They should be able to see God as a loving and forgiving Father through you. Taking the initiative to talk to your wife and children or call them to openly assure them that you have forgiven them or apologize to them for your own misconduct is not a sign of weakness. Rather, it is a sign of maturity (Gen.17:1). So, if your wife and children have kept silence, you can make them talk by talking to them. Silence is a sign of the graveyard. Your home is not a grave yard. Don’t allow the devil to make it one and don’t allow yourself to be used by him to make your family a cemetery.
