UNDERSTANDING THE HUSBANDMAN, JESUS CHRIST (1)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Heb.12:1-2, Luke 24:26, Ep.5:25

As we start this New Year, it is important for you and I to begin by understanding the person of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. In Hebrews chapter 12 and verse 2, the word of God has this to say. “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith……….”. God wants you to become like Him to your wife and children in everything that Jesus Christ is to the church (Eph.5:25). Every example you are looking for in becoming the good and godly husbandman to your wife and children is in Jesus Christ. The more you look at His word, the Bible, the more you will be like Him in thoughts, character and attitude towards your sheep. And that is what brings glory to God and honour to your life as the head of the family.

So, in the next few days, I will be sharing with you the personality of Jesus Christ so that you can start this year well and live righteously in your relationship with God, your wife, children and in the market place of life throughout this year 2022.

The first personality trait of Jesus Christ is that He is a man of purpose.

And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed and his mother said unto him, Son, why hath thou thus dealt with us. Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I MUST GO ABOUT MY FATHER’S BUSINESS?  (Lk.2:46-49).
