Bible Texts: Gen.1:26-28, Lk.10:19, Rom.10:10, 2Cor.4:13, Eph.2:2
Finally, you must prove that you are the godly husbandman with authourity by speaking out and continue to speak out every word of God you have believed. With the heart man believeth but with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom.10:10). It is not enough to believe that you have authourity over satan and his works, you must boldly declare it. But since we have the same spirit of faith as that shown in what has been written “I believe, therefore I speak, we also believe, therefore we also speak (2Cor.4:13).
Now that you know what you have to do to exercise your authourity as the good and godly man, husband and father, what fruits do you enjoy?
You enjoy peace and quietness. Imagine for a moment a shepherd whose sheep are being ravaged, molested and oppressed by satan and his demonic agents. Do you think the shepherd will be happy? The answer is no. The shepherd will not enjoy inner peace nor happiness because his wife or children are in pain. He will also be distracted. God wants you to enjoy your wife and children. The Bible says, God has given us all things to enjoy (1Tim.6:17). And because satan goes about looking for whom he may devour and because his principal assignment is to kill, steal and destroy, you must never give him a chance in and around your sheep and sheepfold.
You must command every form of satanic oppression to leave your wife and children. You must command every sickness, disease and pain to leave your wife and children. You must drive out every rebellious, disobedient and ungodly influence trying to gain root in the lives of your wife and children. It is when you take authority over the works of satan, then you will enjoy peace and quietness with your wife and children.
Your wife and children are not your problem. Satan is. Spirit of the wind of disobedience (Eph.2:2). Satan is the influence, and if you can stop his works you have saved your wife and children from being influenced by satan, sin and the world.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to exercise my authority over the wiles of the devil.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of fear and timidity.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of faith for a victorious living.
FAITH CONFESSION
I have power with God and I exercise the authority of Christ in me over satan, sin and the world because I am the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
