WIN ON YOUR KNEES TO WIN ON YOUR FEET

I would like to share two important discoveries I have made as the husbandman and that is what I want to share with us today. I have come to discover that the fastest way to lose steam in leading your wife and children is to become a prayerless husbandman. I have also discovered that the quickest way to gain strength that will help you become the good and godly man, husband and father is through faith-filled prayers. What this means is that prayer is an indispensable tool for the success of the godly husbandman. And that is what Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman teaches in Luke chapter 18 and verse 1. And I want you and I to focus on it.

And he (Jesus Christ) spake a parable unto them to this end, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT FAINT.  Luke 18:1. Jesus, Who is an example of how the husbandman should be, says that, if you don’t want to faint as the head of the family, you must be fired up in your prayer life. Prayer is the answer to that challenge that you are going through.

But what is prayer? Prayer is a weapon of war in the spirit realm which gives you command in the physical. It is also a spiritual seed that goes into the future to reshape the destinies and circumstances of your life and that of your wife and children. Prayer is also a platform you use to build a relationship with God, your heavenly Father.

And being let go, they went to their company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord and said, Lord ……..and now behold their threatening and grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word…..and when they had prayed, the place was shaken…………. (Act.4:24, 29, 31). As the head of the family, you must appreciate that challenges will come your way just as it came in the time of the Apostles. But you can overcome by prayer because prayer is at the core of your victory over the works of the devil that are trying to manifest themselves in the lives of your wife, children, their health, academics, finances and many more areas. It is the answer to every threat and challenge from the pit of hell. Every time you pray, you are building the power base of your life to challenge every ungodly tendency in and around your family. Your pastor cannot do much to build your power base for you. You have the greater responsibility to develop your prayer life.

In whatever way the problems come, confront them with the weapon of prayer. Very importantly as the head of the family, you must be prepared at all times. Satan and his agents are always going around looking for those they will tempt. It is only a prepared husbandman that can overcome them. And this is why Jesus admonished every you and I to, always to pray if we do not want to faint or be defeated as we provide good and godly leadership to our wives and children.

Win on your knees to win on your feet.   

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, rekindle my prayer life by Your Spirit and breath fresh life into me.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to pray effectively and help me to pray according to Your will always.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of weariness, discouragement and doubt.

FAITH CONFESSION

I keep my prayer altar on fire, continuously, because it is my weapon to win over the challenges in my sheepfold as I lead my wife and children as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
