FINANCIAL BLESSING FOR THE HUSBANDMAN (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: 1Cor.3:1-4, Mal.3:8-10, 2Cor.9:7, Heb.13:8, 1Kgs.3:1-3, Lk.6:38, 1Tim.5:8, 1Tim.5:17, Phil.4:19, Jn.14:26, Gen.12:1-3

Yesterday, we started by looking at some of the ways God blesses the good and godly husbandman. Let us continue today.

Thirdly, when you give, God inspires you with innovation and creativity in your chosen endeavours. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall be room enough to receive it (Mal.3:10). It has been said that ideas rule the world and creativity enhances productivity. As a giver, you need creative ability to know what to do, how to do what you do and when to do it. And the Holy Spirit can teach you the secrets that you require to succeed in your career, business and endeavour (Jn.14:26).

As the good and godly husbandman, you must understand that you “have the mind of Christ”. When Jesus was faced with the challenge of feeding 5,000 men with limited resources-two fishes and five loaves of bread- He deployed His creative ability and the power of the mind of God at work in Him to multiply the meal. And that meal went round. The people were satisfied and there was left 12 baskets.

Now that you have known how God will bless you financially, it is very important for you to know why He wants to make you rich. God blesses you because He wants you to fulfill your covenant obligations to your wife and children. He wants you to provide for their needs-education, food, shelter, clothing. But if any provide not for his own and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel (1Tim5:8). Neither your wife nor children begged you to lead them. You saw your wife and liked her. Thereafter, you propped her up and proposed to marry her. She agreed and consequently you took absolute responsibility to provide for all her needs. Your children did not also force themselves on you. You had sexual relationship with your wife by planting your seeds inside her. God blessed your seed and your wife incubated it and brought forth children. So, you can now see that both your wife and children are gifts from God.

The second reason why God blesses you, financially, is for you to become a blessing to the world. And this includes becoming a channel of financial blessing to your parents, the needy, supporting the weak and vulnerable. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing (Gen.12:2). So, God is not blessing you to be selfish. He wants you to be the pipe that gives smiles, joy and laughter to others in and around your community.

God’s ultimate plan for you as the good and godly husbandman is to bless you and make you a blessing. Walk in this understanding.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the giving grace.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to give willingly and cheerfully.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to see, recognize and apply myself to the ways You want to bless me.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a giver and a channel of God’s blessings to humanity because that is empowers me to continue to reign as a prosperous, good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
