As new born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby…(1Pet.2:1b)
God wants every husbandman to grow into the image and likeness of Jesus because that is the evidence that the husbandman is the good and godly man, husband and father.
But how does the husbandman grow into the full image of Jesus Christ?
As the husbandman, you must desire the pure word of God and also pray the word of God into your life and ask the Person of the Holy Spirit to make it a reality in your daily walk as the man, husband and father.
Now, why do I need to feed on the word of God to grow and be like Jesus Christ?
The word of God is the truth. It contains the principles that are enduring and unchanging (Ps.119:105).
The word of God also provides direction that will help you to act, conduct yourself and react in ways pleasing to God.
The word of God changes and transforms (Rom.12:1-2, 2Cor.3:18).
The more you feed on the word by studying and thinking about it, the more you experience transformation in your spirit, soul and body.
You must be awake from your past (Eph.5:14). Do not give up. You must not surrender to your old way of life of sin and irresponsibility as the man, husband and father. You must make a firm decision today to be like Jesus Christ in your thoughts, actions and conduct.
You can be like Jesus Christ! Yes, you can.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the name of Jesus, have mercy upon me for refusing to desire the pure milk of Your word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower my life to grow by Your word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to be like Jesus Christ by Your word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I desire and drink from the pure word of God to grow and to be like Jesus Christ because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
