THE LAW OF REPETITION (1)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: 2Cor.13:7-8, Ps.119:105, Jn.8:32, Rom.12:2, Jn.17:17, Jn.1:3-5, Gen.2:14-18, Matt.5:14-16, Ezk.2:2, Ps.1:1-3

Praise God for bringing us to the last month of the year 2022. For all God has done for us, in us and through us since the year started, we say may His name be highly exalted in Jesus name. Amen.

While I was in my sleep mode, I heard these words from the Person of the Holy Spirit, “The Law of Repetition”. When asked what does that mean, He says, “Repeat my teachings”. And He pointed me to these two Scriptures.

Fear thou not, for I am with thee ……..yea I will help thee…For I thy Lord will hold your thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not, I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm of Jacob, and ye men of Israel, I will help thee (Is.41:10-14).

Rejoice, again I say rejoice.

God is the God of repetition and He does that to re-emphasis what He wants us to do and to bring to our remembrance all He wants us to know. This is why by the grace of God, we will be sharing with you some of the teachings done in the past to reinforce the truth to the end that we act on them to become all that God wants us to be as good and godly husbandmen.

SHE TOUCHED HIM AND WAS MADE WHOLE

Main Scripture: Lk.8:43-48

More Scriptures: Eph.5:27, Pro.15:4, Ac.9:34

What I am about to share with you as a husband was a brief encounter I had from the story with the woman with the issue of blood in the Bible. I was in church on a Sunday service when the man of God was teaching on faith. He referred us to the passage of Scripture about the woman who for eighteen (18) years had a ceaseless flow of blood. But as I began to read the passage, the Holy Spirit took me on a voyage. He said and I quote “if the woman with the issue of blood for eighteen years touched Him and the healing virtues left Jesus and healed her, then inside every husband are the virtues of Christ”. In Eph.5:22-25, the Scripture compares you and I as husbands with Jesus Christ, when it said, husbands love thy wife as Christ hath loved the Church…

Therefore, as a husband you are a type of Christ in your family kingdom. So, whatever makes healing virtue to flow out of Jesus to the woman in pain, is in you. The question therefore is what virtues flow from you to your wife and children? As the head of the family and the spiritual leader in your family fold, you must be a channel from which your flock would draw all godly virtues from. That is what makes you count! But what are some of the virtues that must flow from you to your flock?

Firstly, it is the virtue of compassion. The virtue of compassion flowed out of Jesus to the woman who was caught in the very act of adultery. When others condemned her, He said to her, go, I condemn you not, thy sins have been forgiven….. How often do you extend mercy and forgiveness to your flock when they fail? What kind of word comes from your mouth to your wife and children when they disappoint you? The second virtue is tireless supply of the needs of your flock. Jesus fed five thousand people excluding women and children. At another time He fed three thousand. For as long as He was around, the people did not lack anything. That is who you are-a provider. You are expected to provide for your family not partly but fully, even if your wife earns more than you. This is why in 1Tim.5:8, the Scripture says that but if any provide for his own and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. In Jn.10, the Bible describes Jesus as the good shepherd, so are you. And every good shepherd exists because there are sheep, and a good shepherd provides for his sheep (Ps.23:1). Another virtue that must flow out of you is the healing virtue. You must recognize that you are your wife and children’s first pastor. When they are sick, confused and hurting, you must be their first responder.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower the virtues in me and let it flow towards my flock.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to develop the potential of Your virtues in me.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with all the virtues that make me a husband till it overflows to my wife and children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have the fullness of the virtues of Jesus at work in me and they flow abundantly in the direction of my wife and children because that is what makes me a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
