But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST , he is none of his (Rom.8:9).
Yesterday, the foundation to accessing the Spirit of Christ was laid. I pray in the name of Jesus that you will manifest the spirit and power of Jesus Christ as you lead yourself, wife, children and conduct yourself in the marketplace.
THE SPIRIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
One of the spirits you have and must manifest is the spirit of righteousness. In John 16 and verse 11, the Word of God says this.
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more (Jn.16:11).
Anything that would make you to walk in unrighteousness is not of God. It is a wrong spirit. The Scripture says that all unrighteousness is sin, regardless of what the world thinks. God, your Father is righteous. He does right things. Jesus Christ is righteous. He does right things. You are made in the image and likeness of God, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, hence you have the spirit and power to do what is right according to the word of God and not the philosophies, traditions and culture of satan and man.
Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies (Ps.24:3-4)
The ungodly husbandman never amounts to anything positive in life. He becomes a burden to himself, his wife and children, the society and a disservice to God. If you must make the most of your calling as the husbandman, and if you must make positive impact in the market places of life, you must think, walk and work righteousness. You must have clean hands and a pure heart. There is no alternative to holiness. There is no better life outside doing the things that please God because righteousness exalts.
So, letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That is why those who are under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all. And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. (Rom.8:6-10) NLT
Living your life according to the standard of the Word of God may not be convenient but it is profitable in the end. It may also not be popular but it is enduring at the end. This is why the Scripture assures you and I that, say to the righteous, it shall be well with you (Is.3:10).
God wants you to live a righteous life and lead your wife and children in righteousness. You are no longer under the law of sin and death and slave to sin. You have the mind of Christ.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin and sinful tendencies.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, break the power of carnality in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me up with the Spirit of holiness and make me live a righteous life.
FAITH CONFESSION
I walk in the newness of life in Christ and I live a life well pleasing unto God, my wife, children and in the marketplace because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
