And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord (Lk.1:16-17)
The spirit of Elijah is the life of Elijah and the power of Elijah is the results of Elijah. The spirit of the husbandman is the life of the husbandman and the power of the husbandman is the results he manifests.
In the next few days, we shall be exploring the wonderful spirits God has given to the husbandman in order for him to produce results that reflect the nature and attitude of the good and godly man, husband and father, after the pattern of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the husbandman. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will covet these spirits and make them active in your life as you lead yourself, wife and children.
The first step to manifesting the spirits of Christ is self discovery- knowing your true identity and worth and your functional capacity as provided for in the word of God (Philp.3:10-12). No one can be greater than what he knows. And you cannot give what you do not have (Acts 3:6).
As the husbandman, you are made in the image and likeness of God, who is Spirit (Gen.1:26-28, Jn.4:24). You are a spirit being. God has put inside of you seven wonderful spirits of Christ to help you function maximally as the husbandman in your family kingdom.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST , he is none of his (Rom.8:9).
Jesus Christ is the head of the church in the same way you are the head of your family. If He lives by the Spirit of God, you also have to live by the same spirit. This is why the Bible says that the same spirit that raises up Jesus Christ from the grave dwells in you (Romans 8:11).
As the good and godly husbandman, you possess the very life of Christ in you for your wife and children and the world around you to emulate. Without these spirits at work in your life, you will end up becoming a burden to yourself, wife, children, the world and the kingdom of God.
A few examples of husbandmen who manifested the spirit of Christ include Abraham, the husbandman of Sarah, Moses the husbandman of Zipporrah, David and Joseph. Therefore, if you want to make the most of your ministry as the husbandman, you must attain the seven spirits of Christ and ensure that the spirits are fully operational in your life because that is the only way you can grow and become the good and godly husbandman.
Tomorrow, we shall consider the first spirit.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from spiritual blindness and deafness and give me hearing ears and seeing eyes.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, break the power of carnality in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me up with the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
FAITH CONFESSION
I walk in the newness of life in Christ and I live a life well pleasing unto God, my wife, children and in the marketplace because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
